The importance of love, unity and charity
The secret to a loving future for all mankind is unity. Unity is a very important concept for bringing the true knowledge and experience of Love and God to the world. Love is one of the highest values we can have for our family and every aspect of our life, culture and society - in all decisions we make, in every planning, in every creation. Love also means unity. We are united in God. We are united in Love. What greater strength can a family, group or culture have than to be united in Love and God? "When two or more are gathered in my name, there I am", is a famous quote from Jesus in the Bible. That is why it is so powerful when two or more people are united in God and sharing their love, knowledge and experiences in the Holy Spirit. Imagine when whole cultures come together in the name of Love!
We start with ourselves, our partners, our family, until the whole world becomes our family and united in God again. We also start with our spiritual traditions. Unity among ourselves in true love is the key for bringing God and love to the world, and to reunite mankind in God again. Lack of unity was the reason we failed in the past. Even for Jesus Christ's disciples, they got huge failure in their practices because of lack of unity, and in a way they failed to bring the true message of love to the world. If spiritual people can not get it together then what hope is there for the rest of the world? Unity is the same as Love. That is why all top spiritual masters are talking about unity and love. There is nothing stronger than a family united in Love and God.
Unity also includes acknowledging, loving and accepting people from different cultures and spiritual traditions. Even if there are people who are not up to your level of spiritual understanding, to respect them. If they have love as top of their values and goals, then it can not be a bad thing. Most people only start to think about God when they become very old and on their death beds. So if God is your goal while you are young and healthy- then that is an amazing thing, you are so lucky. All forms of spirituality, even if some people have some funny ideas- it is still cute. If people are praying to God, feeling his Love and blessing each other, it is cute. We should not reject people with different ideas or those who like to be different. If anybody has some funny ideas or beliefs which are wrong you can help dissolve that in the most loving, gentle, tactful and beautiful way without hurting anyone. We should support any true spiritual and loving agendas. We are all one in Love. God created many paths and spiritual traditions to cater for different personalities. Some people prefer the bhakti way, some the shakti way, some the knowledge way, some the karma way, or most just through suffering and depression until becoming hungry for love and motivated to reach out to God. There are many ways leading to God. We have to acknowledge this in love and unity.
Charity is the foundation for a loving society. Charity can be difficult to perform but is it the most virtuous. We should all start practising charity immediately. Once the learning stage of spirituality is over, it is time for charity. Why was charity a top agenda for Jesus? Charity means love, taking care of someone's pain and hunger. When you feed someone who is hungry their soul blesses you. It is a huge love. Since ancient times the only spiritual purpose for obtaining wealth was to be able to share it with the poor ones and spiritual people, and to take care of the planet. That is why the spiritual rulers were so powerful. Charity should be on the top of the agenda. It is the foundation for true spirituality. Jesus wants everybody to spoil THOUSANDS of people with all types of love including financial support and helping the needy.
If you have got lots of money then think about giving at least 20% for personal charity projects. Not to a large random organisation where you do not know whether or not your money is being wasted or actually going to a good cause- but charity created directly by you, your family and friends. What greater love is there? Lets do amazing charity work on a grand scale throughout the globe taking care of the world. We can start doing this with our friends and family. Enlightenment and the process of enlightenment (creating spiritual masters) is important, but if you are not doing anything with that knowledge and enlightenment then what is the point of your enlightenment, if you are not taking care of people? The only way to please God is through true love, by charity work.
For instance in London many people made a promise to Sri Kaleshwar to do some real charity work each month, but there still seems to be a lack of willingness for people to do this and fulfil the promise. It is something that presently appears to be at the bottom of the agenda. Whilst in California students are doing amazing charity works, such as working with the local spiritual and Christian communities creating projects for feeding the homeless. Getting this part of our lives sorted will result in a complete spiritual reorientation and alignment with God's Love and energy. God's power and energy needs to flow through Love.
Not so long ago before there was any word whatsoever in the media about the financial crash and credit crunch situation, I knew that the whole financial industry would crash. A saint was talking about it before it happened and telling the causes and cures for it. With this knowledge well before it happened I started telling everybody, "soon the whole financial market will completely crash". Many heard me say it, especially those who think I am fantasist, silly, ignorant, gullible or insane for following my spiritual practices. Still after it actually happened, they have still chosen not to believe in spirituality and God- probably out of fear of vulnerability of becoming spiritual.
There is a need for charity work on the planet in many forms. The world needs it already, with such heartbreak and depression on the planet - there is a need for love and service in many forms, including for emotional and spiritual depression. Hunger exists at the moment for love and spirituality - to fill the void and emptiness that most people try and cover up through drink and drugs. But we also need to get the foundation in place for greater charity work, such as helping people who are homeless or victims of disease, wars and disasters, such as earthquakes - before it may happen. We will thus be in a fortunate position to demonstrate our love for others and to really please God by taking care of the people. Soon millions of people will have a real need for God and Love, and will have the capacity to open for God. Charity work is not to make your spiritual organisation look good in a pretending way- there is a real spiritual need for it. It is what pleases God. Publicity is good though, such as showing pictures on websites and blogs of healings and charity work- because it sets an example for the whole world to follow.
Charity should be on the priority list for us all. It is a way of sharing God's love with the world. Lets make plans immediately. Charity work is also important to Jesus and is often a part of initiation into traditions like Kriya Yoga. The following blessing ceremony of preparation to accept diksha in Kriya Yoga will show you how charity work is the foundation of being a truly loving spiritual person - and to be able to open and receive for Jesus's blessings. I suggest for everybody to do this regardless of what spiritual tradition. You may have met the preparation criteria already. Without charity you can not truly say that you are spiritual and enlightened. If we get the basics right first, then we can all be strong and successful in unity, love and God. I suggest everybody to do this blessing ceremony at some point, maybe even for this Christmas day to receive Jesus's blessing.
Love + Unity + Charity = a loving world reunited in God again. Lets start taking love and charity more seriously. Lets help others, support the needy ones, heal the ill ones, love the lonely ones on earth, feed the hungry ones, be of pleasant nature and attitude, and love like God.
